Tested. Proven. Trusted.

TRU uses deliberate, time-tested processes to conduct all required Training System Requirements Analyses (TSRA). This systematic approach provides a means of collecting raw data, filtering it through detailed analysis and producing refined data for building an effective training system.

Our Process

We begin with the Mission/Task Analysis (MTA), a compound analysis designed to collect and examine basic data on system functions, types of equipment, maintenance requirements, education and training goals. This information details task requirements performed by personnel in support of strategic missions. The product of the MTA is the Master Task List (MTL), which provides the input data for the Training Requirements Analysis (TRA).

The TRA consists of:

  • Task Proficiency Analysis: determines the levels of training required for each task
  • Target Population Survey/Demographic Analysis: provides data in areas such as location, experience, current qualifications and educational level of the target group
  • Formal Training Analysis: evaluates each task regarding training emphasis, task difficulty, frequency and criticality and safety, identifying items that should be included in a formal training program.

Why TRU

The process described above has repeatedly produced consistent results in analyzing existing and new training systems. Examples in which these processes have been applied include the C-17 Alternative Training Media Study, C-130 Avionics Modernization Program Training Study and Common Unmanned Surface Vessel Training Requirements Report. Refined, proven processes employed by personnel experienced in all aspects of ISD provide the customer with meaningful, reliable data that forms the foundation of an effective training system.
