Personal Data We Collect
TRU’s supplier registration process is designed to collect information about your company’s qualifications as a potential TRU supplier. When you choose to participate in the TRU supplier registration process, you will be asked to provide TRU with information about your company and its capabilities together with certain Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- First and Last Name;
- Contact Information for key personnel, such as phone numbers or mailing addresses;
- Email addresses; and
- Other relevant information disclosed during the supplier registration process.
TRU collects and stores the Personally Identifiable Information that you provide (including but not limited to, information submitted during the supplier registration process) on third party servers located in the United States.
Retention and Deletion of Your Personally Identifiable Information: TRU retains your Personally Identifiable Information only as long as is necessary for supplier evaluation purposes and/or during the supplier relationship if established following the evaluation process.
- For Potential Suppliers Located Within the United States: In the event that a business relationship with TRU is not established, we may retain your Personally Identifiable Information for a period of time (generally 12 months) if not otherwise notified by you.
- For Potential Suppliers Located Outside the United States: Your company profile, including Personally Identifiable Information, will be retained only as long as necessary to complete the supplier evaluation process (generally 6 months) unless a business relationship is established following the evaluation process and you are identified as a point of contact for the ongoing relationship.
How We Use The Personal Data We Collect
The Personally Identifiable Information that you provide will be used to assist us in matching your company’s capabilities to TRU supplier requirements. This Personally Identifiable Information will also be used to contact and identify you throughout the supplier evaluation process. For example, TRU may contact your company, using the contact information you have provided, for purposes of completing your Supplier Profile. In addition, you may be contacted about other procurement-related issues.
Disclosures of Your Personally Identifiable Information
We are not in the business of selling your Personally Identifiable Information to others.
Access to your Personally Identifiable Information will be restricted to TRU staff and designated third party agents who have a need to know the specific information in question in order to carry out their responsibilities with regard to TRU’s procurement process. Your information may also be disclosed to governmental entities pursuant to and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, or a subpoena or court order.
We do not reveal Personally Identifiable Information about you to unaffiliated third parties, unless:
- you request or authorize it;
- the information is provided to help complete a transaction for you;
- the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services or assets (e.g., in the event that substantially all of the assets of an applicable TRU business are acquired by another party).
We may also gather aggregated data about you and disclose such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to third parties for analysis or other purposes.
